Back once again for the renegade master

June 11, 2008

Been a bit busy (messy) lately and haven’t even checked this tanggg for a few days. I have unfortunately restarted school which is proving to be the most pointless endeavour I have undertaken in some time – I literately have no work to do for six weeks, just sit back and wait for a much needed summer break before A2’s to start. That said however, I am undergoing a new directing project (as you are probably unaware I am an aspiring director); something that I’ve been meaning to get round to for a while. An example of some previous work;

My first properly conducted production; a nitty gritty Exploitation esque trailer.

After a hectic intoxicated weekend I must admit that school is actually kind of nice, due to dropping Psychology I have a ridiculous amount of spare time and have enjoyed this luscious weather ever so much, even a nice daily routine has been a much appreciated change in pace. I am off to enjoy a nice garden session – expect a lot of posts ranting about Euro matches as well as my next top ten coming your way.

Before I go however I’d just like to leave with a nice funky summer mixtape which has been drastically overplayed over the past few days…

Beer and nachos maketh the man

June 4, 2008

Today was nice. I was finally able to catch up on some work without going to literal work for a change, did some reading in preparation for next year like. Also I caught up with one of my bruvs and we checked out this restaurant, Havana. On the offset it is a cliché student paradise, brandishing Che Guevara so contently over it’s outside. We were a bit off put initially with the price and lack of person within this faux Spanish establishment, yet when the food arrived we had not a word of complaint to utter. My order was simple – Nachos. Anyone can make Nachos, heck even I can – yet I am still a big fan, and I have to say, Havana provided me with the nicest chilli beef Nachos I have had in a long time. Combined with a couple of bottles of Desperado (lushhhh) and I was completely satisfied with the 13.50 I’d just spent. Have to give a shout out to the place n’all because it really was lovely, a quiet little Tapas bar just on the end of North Hill.

Tonight hasn’t been bad either, initially I was going out and hopefully meeting this rather gawgussss girly, however rain and money prevented this which, is a bit of a bummer. But I’ve had a few beers at home and watched a brilliant 80’s film – Wild Style (if you haven’t seen and bare any interest in Hip-Hop I strongly reccomend);

Am now sat back with a nice chilled beer listening to Jaylib – Champion Sound;

Very good album and a must have for anyone into any variety of funky fresh beatz – make sure you take a listen to ‘The Red’ for a reminder of why J Dilla is a god. I feel it is time for me to delve deeper into the musical abyss I have plunged myself into and try not to despair about being skint and moreover sober until friday, tara.

Really nice summer music. And as I sit back managing the best team West Ham have, or ever will see, armed with an ice cold bottle of Becks I really do feel as if I am on top of everything. Tomorrow I have a long awaited day off work, and no sixth form so I think that a nice day spent in the sun with a few bruvs and beers is almost unavoidable – perhaps even a few bars during the evening just to add to the flavour.

I think tonight shall be spent fixing out some of my music collection, a tedious task indeed, yet for a perfectionist like myself definitely necessary; has to be in shape for the Great British summer n’all. Yet I do have a sudden urge to strive through previous Euro games to maximise all excitement despite the fact England aren’t actually participating. Though I’m not too sure if that’s a bad thing, I mean I’d rather not see us get beaten to a team we are statistically capable of defeating – even with ‘the messiah’ Capello in charge ‘n that. For me this Euro is all about Portugal, aside from the obvious Ronaldo brilliance they are so deservingly armoured with, watching Nani is a true treat to the eyes.

Anyway enough rambles, time for me to delve into the blogging world to help satisfy my ridiculous musical needs.

Hello and Jewbonics…

June 2, 2008

So my friend persuaded me to get a blog, and I then wondered why I never actually had one so here goes!

What a mundane day. Waking up to the sunshine after five hours sleep and four exams totalling to seven essays really didn’t seem like an ideal day after such a good four days. To really finish off what was an utterly shite day I had to walk to work in the rain which was, in the lovely rays our sun was finally providing, just about the only exciting thing I had to look forward to, however as aforementioned the sky showcased a lovely waterwork display for me to enjoy.

However I did get home to a nice surprise – my friend from work had shown me somewhere to download DJ Yoda – Jewbonics; what a mixtape! I’ve been really getting into him lately and this is the pinnacle of his work I think. Reminded me of Mr. Dibbs – Turntable Scientifics only much more lax. Really good stuff. If you want to listen check out this blog;

Anyway I am off to have a little R&R, thanks for reading if anyone actually does… I’m not normally a rager, promise!
